Jhang STI Agreement Letters Due Today, 2 November: How Selected Interns Collect Them and Join Tomorrow

4 min read No comments

Today, Monday 2 November 2026, is agreement-letter day for Jhang’s School Teacher Intern (STI) candidates. Under the Punjab School Education Department’s recruitment schedule, the letters of agreement for selected interns are due to be issued today through the official STI portal, two days after the final merit lists were displayed on Saturday 31 October.

This is the next step in the same process covered in our 31 October article, not a new round of hiring. Candidates who found their names on a final list at their school should now be looking for their agreement letter, because the internship itself is due to start tomorrow, Tuesday 3 November, and runs through to 31 May 2027.

How to collect your agreement letter

The letters are issued through the STI portal at sti.pesrp.edu.pk. Selected candidates should log in with the CNIC and password they used to apply, check their application status, and download the letter from there. It is worth doing this today rather than leaving it to the morning, so that any login problem can be sorted while there is still time to contact the school.

Once downloaded, read the letter carefully before signing it. Check that the school name, the subject or post, and your own details match the final list displayed at your school. If anything does not match, raise it with the head of the school concerned and the district education office promptly, rather than signing a letter that does not reflect your placement. Keep both a printed copy and a saved copy on your phone, since the letter is the document that confirms the placement when you report tomorrow.

Candidates should also keep their original documents ready for joining: the CNIC, academic certificates, and any professional qualification documents used in the application. Having them in one folder tonight avoids a last-minute search in the morning.

Joining tomorrow, 3 November

Selected interns are due to join their allotted schools on Tuesday 3 November 2026. Reporting to the school named in the agreement letter, rather than to a different school where you also applied, is what counts. If you applied to more than one school and appear on more than one final list, the agreement letter you sign settles which placement you take, so choose on the basis of the letter in hand, not on a forwarded message.

For candidates who were ranked just below the selected intern on a school’s final list, today and tomorrow still matter. The selection at each school follows that school’s merit order, so if a selected candidate does not sign the agreement or does not report for joining, the seat can pass to the next candidate in the same order. That is a reason to stay in touch with your school after today, and to keep your own documents and login details ready, rather than assuming the process is over.

What this round has involved

The round moved quickly from approval to appointment. Fresh hiring of School Teacher Interns against vacant seats was approved on 25 September 2026, applications closed on 18 October, initial merit lists were displayed on 23 October, objections were heard on 26 and 27 October, and interviews for shortlisted candidates were held on 29 and 30 October. The final lists followed on 31 October, and today’s agreement letters are the formal step that turns a place on a list into a placement.

Selection has been based on academic marks, additional qualifications, union council marks, and the interview, with lists prepared school by school and subject by subject. That school-wise structure is also why there is no single district-wide list to download: the authoritative record for any candidate is the notice board of the school concerned and the official portal.

Two warnings worth repeating

The same cautions that applied on merit-list day apply again today. First, no fee is charged at any stage of this process. Anyone asking for payment in exchange for an agreement letter or a placement is not acting for the department. Second, trust only the school notice board and the official STI portal. Unofficial websites offering “merit list PDFs” and forwarded messages cannot issue an agreement letter, and they cannot change what the official list says.

For Jhang’s newly selected interns, today is a paperwork day with a real deadline behind it: collect the letter, check it, sign it, and be ready to walk into your allotted school tomorrow morning.
