Jhang Pesticide Dealers: Apply by 5 November for Licence Training Starting 6 November

4 min read No comments

Pesticide dealers across Jhang district have a short window to act: applications for new licences and licence renewals must be submitted online by 5 November 2026, with training for dealers beginning the very next day, on 6 November.

The schedule has been issued by Dr Muhammad Imran, Deputy Director Agriculture (Plant Protection) for Jhang, and reported by Jhang Online News. Dealers can submit their applications from 1 to 5 November 2026 through the Punjab government’s eBiz portal, ebiz.punjab.gov.pk. With today, 3 November, already under way, dealers who have not yet applied have two days left after today to complete the online process.

The training dates differ depending on what the dealer is applying for. For a new licence, training runs from 6 to 12 November 2026 — a full week. For renewal of an existing licence, training is shorter, running from 6 to 8 November 2026. Dealers should therefore be clear, before they apply, about which category they fall into, because the commitment in days is different and turning up on the wrong dates could cause avoidable delay.

Training centres have also been fixed by tehsil, so dealers need to attend the right venue. Dealers from Jhang tehsil and from 18-Hazari tehsil will receive their training at the agriculture office in tehsil Jhang. Dealers from Ahmedpur Sial tehsil and Shorkot tehsil will attend training at the agriculture office in tehsil Ahmedpur Sial. That split covers all four tehsils of the district, and it means a dealer travelling to the wrong centre could miss a session, so checking the tehsil list before setting out is worth the minute it takes.

The department’s advice to dealers is practical rather than bureaucratic. Applicants are asked to submit their online applications within the fixed dates, keep their required documents complete, and attend their relevant training centre on time, so that the issue of a new licence or the renewal of an existing one is not delayed. Delays in licensing matter in a farming district at this time of year: the wheat-sowing window runs to 20 November, and dealers are part of the supply chain farmers rely on for crop-protection inputs. A dealer whose licence lapses because paperwork slipped is not just an administrative problem — it can leave local growers without a lawful local source at a busy moment in the season.

It is also worth noting what this schedule is and is not. It is a district training schedule for pesticide dealers, issued by the agriculture department’s plant protection wing. It does not, on the information published, change the fee structure, the eligibility rules, or the documents required, and this article does not invent those details. Dealers who are unsure about a document or an eligibility point should check the eBiz portal or contact their tehsil agriculture office directly rather than assuming, because an incomplete application filed close to the 5 November deadline leaves little room to correct it.

For dealers in Jhang city and 18-Hazari, the key dates are: apply online by 5 November, then attend training at the Jhang tehsil agriculture office from 6 November — to 12 November for a new licence, to 8 November for a renewal. For dealers in Ahmedpur Sial and Shorkot, the same application deadline applies, with training at the Ahmedpur Sial tehsil agriculture office over the same dates.

In short, the deadline is near, the venues are set, and the process is online. For any Jhang pesticide dealer who still needs a licence or a renewal, the next step is not a visit to an office but a completed application on the eBiz portal before 5 November passes.
